Welcome to our page and welcome to our Meeting.
I am Jared Warner, pastor at Willow Creek Friends Church in Kansas City Missouri. I have been a pastor at this Meeting (church) since 2010.
We all know that life is busy and we cannot always make it to a Meeting for Worship. I greatly encourage you to still try because we all need encouragement from those around us. But if you cannot attend we have both sermon transcripts and YouTube videos for you to view.

Let me tell you a bit about Willow Creek Friends. We are a part of Evangelical Friends Church-Mid America Yearly Meeting. and have been active in the Kansas City Area for over 100 years. We have a Quaker heritage, and are what many would call a Programmed Meeting. Meaning that we have music, a spoken message by a minister, and a devoted time for the traditional Quaker silent worship.
Currently our most exciting aspect of ministry is with a Congolese community that has moved to Kansas City. We enjoy what they have contributed to our Meetings for Worship (Click Here to listen to them Sing!) and we hope to assist many with English skills as well as adjusting to our society.
I am glad that you have visited this site, which contains the sermons that I have presented. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
If you would like to assist our Meeting with our ministries and with our encouragement to the Congolese community in Kansas City we would appreciate your donations. Click Here to Donate!
Personally I am a bi-vocational minister, which means I also have a job outside the Meeting. I am a husband, a father of two boys, and work in retail security when I am not at our Meeting. Bi-vocational ministers often feel as if they do not make a difference and that they cannot afford to take someone out to eat or grab a cup of coffee. They also struggle making sure they spend enough time with their families. In this current age of the church, most ministers are bi-vocational and most of these ministers feel overwhelmed. I have been a bi-vocational pastor since I began ministry in 2003, and have found that most of the ministry work I do is outside the Meetinghouse. I understand that some people do not want to contribute to a a religious organization they are not connected to personally, but if you have enjoyed my sermons online and want to assist me in encouraging others you can donate directly to my ministry. I hope you have a great day, and look forward to hearing from you.
